After starting golf in May 2020, Said El Busefi was still very much a newcomer to the sport when he made the decision to commit to golf in late 2021.
Having gotten to grips with the basics of the game Said’s friends advised him the way forward was to join a local golf club, to obtain a handicap and to play in numerous competitions.
However, still unsure Said took to the England Golf website to learn more about the World Handicap System™ and browse through the affiliated clubs in his local area, this is where he discovered iGolf and his golfing journey began.
“Through browsing the England Golf website to gather information about affiliated clubs within my vicinity and information regarding the WHS™ I came across iGolf.
“Which straight away appealed to me as something I can join straight away and then in the future decide what is best especially since the membership number is transferable if I do eventually decide to join a club.” he said.
Since joining iGolf Said has been impressed with the subscription and has been enjoying his golfing journey despite the challenges it brings. He said:
“My iGolf journey has been amazing, challenging, and joyous. Although, golf is hard, too much to learn to unpack.”
As well as receiving all the great standard benefits of an iGolf subscription, Said was lucky enough to win tickets and attend the England Golf Awards 2023.
The England Golf Awards 2023, sponsored by FootJoy, celebrate all that’s great about the game in this country – from volunteers to elite performers, clubs to counties, juniors to lifetime achievers.
“I thoroughly enjoyed the awards event; it was exceptionally well organised.
“The various categories of awards were a great insight for my golfing world considering I only started golf in May 2020.” he said.
Having enjoyed the awards Said will be turning his focus back onto his own game for the remainder of 2023 as he looks to: “Continue with my improvements, play different courses and build upon all aspects of the game.”
