This open is being held on our 9 hole, par 29 course and is ideal for new golfers with a handicap that want to try an informal open day over 9 holes with their friends. It is teams of 3 with the best 2 scores to count on each hole and the price includes golf, afternoon tea and prizes.

The English Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship for golfers with a disability is open to male and female golfers and is played by 36 holes of stroke play over two days, 18 holes being played on each day.

The competition will be taking place at Ramside Hall Golf Club between Monday 23rd – Wednesday 25th June 2025.

Entry Fee: £75
Closing Date: Wednesday 28 May (17:00)
Maximum Handicap: 36.0

Players must be in possession of an EDGA World Rankings Pass (WR4GD), an EDGA Access Pass or EDGA Access Conditional Pass. Any competitor not already in possession of either Pass listed above, may apply via the EGDA website.

The winner is the competitor who returns the lowest gross score over 36 holes. Prizes are also awarded for the lowest net scores (both male and female playing categories) with a Handicap Index of scratch (or lower) to 18.4.

Players with a Handicap Index of 18.5 to 36.0 will play in a separate 36-hole Stableford competition category of the main Championship with prizes are awarded for the highest Stableford scores.

This membership offers great value for money, providing access to play at Eastham Lodge Golf Club on a casual basis. We have a variety of other membership packages available, and here at Eastham, you can obtain an official handicap and participate in competitions. To make a booking for today, tomorrow or the following day, you may book online via our Visitor Booking hub. Alternatively, you may check availability and book your tee time (including bookings further ahead) by calling the Pro Shop on 0161 491 4452, option 2.

When making an online booking, please note we are a 9-hole course, therefore if you wish to play 18 holes please make two bookings, which should be at least 1 hour 50 minutes apart.

Green fees are due in the Pro Shop or Bar before commencing play. If booking 18 holes on the same day then the 18-hole rate will apply, not twice the 9-hole rate that the booking system will indicate. Just let the assistant know you're an iGolf subscriber when paying.
